Hey there, I haven’t blogged for a couple of weeks and I have missed doing so, but I am back now and full of ideas for more posts. I have just been busy with the house and generally getting organised. But boy it feels so good, to get stuff done, which means I can then do the fun things, like write my blog and go pumpkin picking.

I have been so excited about Pumpkin Picking to the point that I had an alert on my phone, to remind me about Pumpkin Season (I am such a big kid!). Anyway, I have never been pumpkin picking before and I was delighted when I heard that there was a farm local to me, that did just this. We went to Algys Farm Shop in Bintree, Norfolk, just my husband and my youngest son came along. I wish that my eldest two children, came too now, as it was so much fun.

I had no idea what to expect, but I was in my element when I saw a big field of orange and white pumpkins all different shapes and sizes. It was so much fun picking our pumpkins, my youngest loved that you got to take a wheelbarrow to the field to carry the pumpkins in. I loved just being outside, I find it really relaxing as I love nothing more than the simple things in life.

I even dressed for the occasion in my new jumper- from Next details at the end of the post. This jumper screams autumn vibes, very much a statement piece, it’s really soft and I have worn it so much this week. It looks great with jeans but would look equally as good over a dress.

Everything was so well thought out at the farm and very much geared up for Halloween and capturing the children’s imagination. The farm shop itself is well worth a look for fresh homegrown produce and Algys make their own fantastic popcorn.

Now all that’s left to do is carve the pumpkins, which will be something to keep the kids occupied with over the half term. We cannot wait to go back next year.
